A short distance from Hotel Herbeira is Villarube beach, one of the most spectacular in all of northern Galicia .  It is a combination of dramatic and wild scenery with the services necessary to guarantee your well-being.  Even Cedeira's surroundings seem planned to allure visitors.

The Sierra of the Capelada, which divides Cedeira from Ortigueira, is the ideal place to take in the majestic views of the Garita de Herbeira, the tallest cliffs in Europe at over 600 meters in height.  The area also offers several rocky beaches and coves that are only accessible from the sea.  A visit to the tiny hamlet of San Andrés de Teixido is also recommended.  It is the center of many myths of love and death and was the home of a hermit by the same name.  Legend has it that you will either visit it in life or in death.
